Starting to Kart

Karting is the bare roots of the motorsport industry and does not discriminate between age, height, size, gender or creed. It is a motorsport that is open to everyone.

Having recently started karting myself following my Stag Night, I have found it to be thouroughly enjoyable and addictive.

Since that first clumsy session, I have made great headway improving my driving technique and driving lines. This has been done by scouring the Internet for resources that would help me to shave that little bit extra from my lap times.

Finding the right information was hard, but we have compiled as much information here and in our articles section with links to the relevant resources as possible to help those that are just starting out, or wondering how to.

But my first piece of advice is to find your local venue, whether indoor or outdoor and go along to watch. If you are nervous about your first visit, make it an indoor session as the karts are generally limited in performance but still make for a great race.
